In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and continuing lockdown, we understand that there is some confusion as to whether we are able to remain open to patients at this time. As healthcare professionals, we are classed as essential workers under the most recent UK Government guidelines, so we are pleased to say that both our Halesowen and Wombourne practices remain open during the 2021 lockdown.
Whilst you are asked to stay at home and work remotely if possible, it’s important that you leave home to seek care for your health when you need to. At Fiona Passey osteopaths, we continue to offer a range of treatments, including:
- Osteopathy
- Sports Massage
- Acupuncture
- Person Centred Counselling
- EMDR
- CBT
- Footbalance Orthotics
Our team of highly skilled professional healthcare practitioners are here to provide patients with the appropriate system of medicine to treat the cause of the problem they are experiencing, rather than just the system.
Keeping Patients Safe During Lockdown
In order to ensure the safety of our patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, we review our practices on a regular basis, including our infection control measures, use of PPE, and our pre-screening of patients to determine that they are safe to visit our practices.
To ensure that you stay as safe as possible when attending treatment appointments, in the context of the transmission of COVID-19, we are taking the following precautions:
- Staying up to date with the latest Government guidance and advice from the Institute of Osteopathy.
- Maintaining stringent infection control procedures - we are observing extremely stringent cleaning regimes of our premises, including all reception areas, treatment rooms and washrooms. We pay particular attention to all high contact surfaces, including door handles, taps and toilet flushers, in order to reduce the transmission of COVID and any other diseases.
- Pre-appointment screening of patients - before any patient visits our practices, they will be asked to take part in a pre-appointment screening consultation in order for us to ascertain that it is safe for the patient to attend an appointment for treatment. If a patient exhibits relevant symptoms or has been in contact with someone that has, we ask that they should not visit our practices. Where appropriate, we may be able to offer a video or telehealth consultation for patients that are deemed unsafe to attend a physical appointment.
- We will wear PPE and sanitise our hours in order to further reduce the risk of transmission.
- Patients are asked to wear a face mask within our premises, as per Government regulations.
