If you've got a pain and discomfort at the base of your foot and in your heel, you could be suffering with Plantar Fasciitis. It is a painful inflammatory disorder which results from poor foot biomechanics, calf tightness and lower back restrictions.
Symptoms
The heel and base of the foot is painful and usually worse first thing in the in the morning upon getting out of bed. Often the pain eases when walking.
Causes
Plantar Fasciitis has been linked to many things including excessive standing, walking and running and footwear without adequate support. It can be very debilitating and if left untreated can go on for a long time.
